I was playing expert today and it [censored] goes so fast. like faster than gh2 expert speed in my opinion anyway.
Callisto, I was wondering for later purposes could you implement a hyperspeed option in the options to either turn it on or off for all of the difficulties? Seems logical and easy.

the speeds should be more accurate like in the gh games, evn tough gh2 and gh3 have a little speed difference.
I was also looking at some gh3 mods, and it should be possible to deactivate the ingame rotating of the meters. not like an ingame option, but just a true/false string in the xml or something..(Since the meters ain't rotated in gh3.)

one of the songs in my setlist highlights in dark blue and crashes the game if i select it. whats that about? a precautionary feature? its not a cutom either, its one of the official songs from GH. anyway, dreakon, if ur not able to play GS, sorry bout that. but as it is, the fretboard is extremely slow on easy and medium. its like selecting slowest under Practice! lol. not a problem, just wish it were always fullspeed... a dark blue usually means something is missing. look at the folder and make sure it is a direct folder containing either the dat and oggs, or the mid, song.ini and oggs. cant be a folder containing a folder.

i realized what it was. when i put in my GH3 songs i extracted Starting Out Small as a folder, so when GS is looking for songs in the folders it sees the folder but doesnt realize that there isnt anything in it. anyway, i already hd them songs extracted and working, so im just gonna delete the extra folder. thanks for the info though.

Got this beta working, and i found a couple issues. They might be just because of me being stupid, but i post them here anyway. When in game, i go to OPTIONS -> GAME, nothing happens? I hear the "menuforward" sound but it stays in the same place.. And second thing. I found some adjusts for sounds in config.xml, does any of them affect into that setlist "music example"? (=the music that starts in setlist when your selection is on that song. I hope you understand what i mean ) the example is VERY loud Also when playing a song, i hear a little "robotic" sound. Its a very little problem, but it annoys me a bit

I'm back with brand new bugs to report! Shorter list this time though, I haven't had too much time to play lately... Bug #1I was practicing the solo section and some surrounding sections of the song Six (from GH2) in the Practice Mode and after occasionally backing out and selecting new sections and occasionally restarting and/or completing the sections probably 10-15 times, I got this error: Bug #2I also noticed when you pause and restart in Practice mode (possibly in normal mode too) the background noise (cheering, etc) gets really loud and distracting and doesn't seem to go away. I'll have to try this again though. See if I can find exactly how to reproduce it.... Bug #3In the Options menu, in the Input section, it sometimes doesn't save that I have my gamepad selected. So occasionally (happens a lot but not all the time) when I start the game up I have to manually go into the options and set the Player 1 Input back to Gamepad, then exit and re-open the game to get it to let me use my guitar. Like somehow after exiting the game it's defaulting to Keyboard or something. I don't have too many details but maybe something to look into. Thanks callisto!

#1 happens to me a lot. i got some news. i just reformatted my pc last night and put GS on this morning. i downloaded the LATEST DirectX 9c (November) and the game wouldnt launch. it just gave me an error. so i ran the DXWebInstaller and it downloaded 6mb of extra stuff, then the game worked. so, for those who cant get their game running and who "said" they ran the web installer (but really didnt), i cant stress it enough that you NEED TO RUN THE WEB INSTALLER! just do it! anyway, if anyone ever gets the error about cannot access disposed object, and it was after the game minimizes, its likely that you pressed the Windows key, Alt-Tabbed, or hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete. i use ZXCVB for my frets, so i often hit the Windows key accidently and then the game crashes. so hope that helps. or not, i dont really care

I haven't really noticed a robotic sound, but I'll check.

Thanks for the info, bob! It's not very irritating that loud preview thing, if you just change the selection quickly so it won't get loud enough And it's good to know that other people has also noticed that robotic sound in the song start, at least i know it's not coming inside my head ;D Also when you start the song, and if you skip it quickly and come back in the setlist, the crowd sound is still on.. i think someone has also noticed this one before. I'm not sure, but what have i tested on my keyboard, i have seen that the red-blue double note doesn't work. I'll get my PS2 USB adapter so that i can use my guitar and I'll check that again.. it may just be that i suck on keyboard : D

I'll get my PS2 USB adapter so that i can use my guitar and I'll check that again.. it may just be that i suck on keyboard : D Well, the thing about using the keyboard is that some keyboards often have a "most buttons hit at the same time" limit. And even odder then that, it only seem to apply to certain buttons (for example, you can press A, S and Enter at the same time, but can't press Q, W and Spacebar). Don't know if those particular buttons work that way, of course, its just an example. However, I think thats a problem with using some keyboards. When you get the guitar (or even changing the keyboard setup might help), you should notice it working.

gamma, empeguser You're missing a sound file. Make sure that 1. You put the program under C:\Program Files 2. You got the resource files

gamma, empeguser You're missing a sound file. Make sure that 1. You put the program under C:\Program Files 2. You got the resource files Hmm I can put it in Documents or any other folder and it works fine for me... I noticed that if you minimize the program and restore it it'll crash. I'll post an error pic when I get home.

I noticed that if you minimize the program and restore it it'll crash. I'll post an error pic when I get home. I had a minute and wanted to try this. Same problem. Here's the error: It happens when you try to minimize and restore while actually playing a song. Minimizing and restoring while simply in a menu works fine.

Depending on how you have the controller set up though, you may have to go into the controller settings and make a few changes to get it working.

Sweet it works now, I just had the wrong file structure. The only glitch I seem to have now is some songs have no notes.
Thanks for the help!

You can emulate it. search google for 3d analyzer I disagree: And that's what happens when I tried to run it through 3D Analyzer.

Ok, I have a problem. I seem to be able to run the game fine, until I hit a star power path. As soon as the lightning bolt comes down, GZ freezes, and I have to close.
Any ideas? o.O
edit: figured out, it doesn't always do that. Just..when it feels like it :l
Also, would anyone know if it's possible to run this in a window? I tend to not like full screen, and the game would most likely run better in a window(although it runs good now, I just prefer a window)
Thanks
