For all the people who were like me who are going absolutly crazy about the dang strum bar and whammy not working... I finally found a solution
All you need to do is download Joy2Key www.electracode.com/4/joy2key/JoyToKey%20English%20Version.htm
Then simply download the conf i made file for Joy2Key www.savefile.com/files/1465695 put it in the jtk374en folder
Lastly download the conf file for Guitar Star Which has all the buttons preset. www.savefile.com/files/1465702
or if you dont want to download the Guitar Star Conf file just enter the keys in on your own Star Power=Space Start=Space Strum Down=Down Strum Up=Up Fret1=F1 Fret2=F2 Fret3=F3 Fret4=F4 Fret5=F5 Whammy=W
Now Just make sure that Joy2Key is running when ever you play, everything should work. This took a lot of effort so please support me ;D

Only problem I see, as i stated in my tutorial, is that not all PS2 to USB adaptors allow the Whammy bar to be recognized at all. So doing the above configuration will do nothing to get your whammy working.

Best one that has worked great for me is 10 bucks at Wal-mart. It's called the Universal USB Converter by Gamemon... Model FT-8D91. I use that as my secondary controller. I would recommend going out and getting a PS3 guitar. Surpluscomputers.com has them for 59.99 with the PS3 game. so buy that and take the game to Gamecrazy or something and you'll get a dandy controller for like 35 bucks. I still cant get strumming to work. I've followed the tutorial, yet i the strum bar doesn't move in-game. When i go to play around with it in the Game Controller settings, it works, but when it comes down to the game, it just doesn't wanna play. Any thoughts?
