Ok I'll make an FAQ for GS... If theres anything you want me to add tell me. If this is good mods please sticky it. Thanks. System Requirements: A decent computer with a video card supportingg Pixel Shader 2.0 Windows XP or Vista Downloading and Installing: www.guitarzero2.proboards78.com/index.cgi?board=competition&action=display&thread=1198720172Putting in songs: Make or obtain your notes.mid or song.dat and the oggs. If you made your own song, make a song.ini: [song] name = song name artist = artist name save as song.ini in the song folder with notepad, then you're good! Put everything in a folder and put it in the %GuitarStar%/Songs directory Making Tiers: 1. Make a seperate folder for each tier like this. 1. Starting Out Small. 2. Put the songs in the folder. To order them, put a number at the beginning of the names of each of the song folders. 3. Move the tier folders to %guitarstar%(guitar star directory)/songs Ok I'll write more tomorrow, I've gotta study.

Ok first off I think you have to convert the .chart to a mid or dat. Then, go in config.xml and change the songs directory to "Songs". Put the mid and oggs into that folder and create a song.ini like I said, and it should work.

Is there any easy way to show the artist name ingame at the setlist? or that has to do with the code? i could do like tiers for each artist but that would be a pain since i have all the GH packs.
Thanks in advance

Well you have to go into the song.ini for each song and to where it says track then put song-artist i think.

One question, why does some songs say that the song track and guitar track aren't equally long? How to get rid of that?

add Delay = ### to that FAQ as many people are asking about there songs being unsynchronized and they don't know how to fix it through a .ini file.

Also note that if MOST songs are unsynchronized, they can always set the <delay> - option in config.xml.

First off, way to resurrect an ancient thread....but this thread was a great idea, we should update it and get it on "the website".
Anyways, I think you'd just use the "Delay = XXX" tag in the song.ini to designate a XXXms delay.
<EDIT> it appears I'm too tired to have read everybody in this thread before posting...my answer was basically the same as DragonSword's, but perhaps my addition of "Song.ini" and that the number = milliseconds...uhhh...<cartman> SCREW YOU GUYS, I'M GOING HOME!!</cartman> or bed, whatever.
