This is a demo for my new game called WallBall Xtreme. It's like pong except you try to shoot the ball into the goal while dodging obstacles. 2 known issues *The ball will sometimes get stuck in an up down motion (very rare) *The ball might stick to the bottom of your bar/player. But just let go of the down button and it will get set free (also very rare) So, just have fun and enjoy www.yoyogames.com/games/122880-wallball-extreme-demo-2

Well, this game's glitches take place far more often than what you make them out to. The game is also a bit too hard, and is a lot like many many other games out there. There is no life or scoring system yet, which makes it rather pointless. I feel that it should also be pointed out, that brick and paddle games take almost no real coding skill to make. That being said, the graphics were very visually appealing, the menus navigated well, and the game kept my interest for 5 levels or so. With some power ups, a scoring system, and a few more obstacles, this game could probably make it very far. Good first game. Sidenote: I would suggest using GML as apposed to the drag and drop options offered in game maker, if you aren't using it already. They allow for almost infinite programming freedom, especially if used in conjunction with plug-ins and dll's. It might take a bit more time to learn, but it's worth it, trust me.

yeah, it's still in the demo stage, i was going to add all of that stuff you recommended in. but, it actually took alot more coding than you would think. And this is like my 5th game (but the first time I'm making the engine and everything).
