Is very bad. I'm now in need of a new car by Tuesday because my piece of [censored] burned up all my oil and jettisoned a f*cking piston rod through the oil pan. One massive rev and a big thunk equals the end of the life of the car that I hated with every ounce of my being. Rest in piece, you f*cking worthless heap of sh*t.
Pontiac = Nope! Grand Am = Double Nope! Grand Am SE = Triple Nope! Dead Grand Am SE = F*ck Yeah!

If that's your car history, you're either supporting the US all the way or the car markets over there are very patriotic. Oh well, I guess the truth is US cars are cheap there and easily available (same with spare parts?), compared to cars that has to be imported there from Europe and Asia. I'd personally go with German cars or a couple brands from Japan. Especially germans do know how to make car reliable and hassle-free.
Passing the topic, I noticed a gas leak near the pump earlier today, [censored] were all over the valve cover. The smell, the smell..
edit.[/size] haha, second look on that ''list'', it was no list after all.

This was my first car. Black 1995 Grand Am SE. Piece of [censored]. Hated it from the get-go. Bad tranny that barely worked, shitty 3.1L v6 with OBD 1.5. Yeah, 1.5, wtf. Worst car ever. I'm lookin at getting an Eclipse GT though, so no worries.

Sounds like a good grunt is a must-have for you. Eclipse GT, as in 3rd generation? Looks tasty, but I bet running costs will be a harm.

My Grand Am only got like 16 mpg so anything is pretty much better than that. Even a f*cking Corvette will get that or better.

Depending on where you live, the Bus system may be your best friends. Now if that is LA, it may just be your worst Nightmare. May I suggest an Japanese automobile.

go with Japaneses for sure, like a 1997 MAZDA RX-7 FD3S Engine: 13B (654x2 cc, RE, Turbo, 255-280 hp) it would get you around and it looks nice around $11,000

I live in the bumfuck Egypt suburbia around Anoka, MN. Public transit won't do anything for me out here. And my new '04 Grand Prix has 200hp stock (which isn't actually all too great considering the 3.8L v6 it has). But, I got it for $6400. That plus ~$3000 for a T66 turbo kit that doubles the hp to ~400 makes it more hp for your buck. I'll have the schweetest sedan around. Until I get a SC G8 that is. Also, the engine in that RX-7 is only 1.2L. That's tiny as hell, you don't get very much bang for your buck. Plus it's a rotary engine, which is a [censored] to work on.

Good luck with the new car. When will you be back on Xfire and programming? Things are kinda dieing around here and people are starting to give up a little. Seems you were having some problems though. Its totally understandable. WE just need a new alpha or a few posts about FM from you to bring up people's hopes. Hope everything with the car and everything else works out for you!
