I posted these a while ago, but they can't really look quite right in game. In GH3 they protrude outside of the fretboard in the third state, and have more space allotted. These need to be skewed out to correct for perspective, too.

Can you skew them so they look right and are accurate? Or does that mess it up? Thanks

ok, so this is my secound double post on the same page, but whatever... I played some more with the notetrails, and adjusted the colors to look more like the notes. the red was almost orange.. I also tried to stretch the image, but it didn't give me any results ingame, so there's nothing more we can do with that unless callisto decides to make them wider... I also tried to apply a new gardient to make the white part thinner, but that results in clearer colors which again makes them look more pixelated ingame, and we don't want that? anyway, here it is: EDIT: Can anyone tell me what the 8th and 16th trail is suppose to be? i'm also wondering about the blank.png, tried to make it black, but i didn't see it anywhere..

Uhm i thing that the v2.0 wont be avaible for now, in the v2.0 i was thinking put more _text.png color notes, and other special features buuut that features doesnt exist right now on GZ b4.4a so the next version its v1.5aand its almost finished, here the things of this update Jobs for the v1.5a-Create a good notetrail (finished) -Create MultiplayerTrackMenuBackground.png -Modify Text_MultiplayerMode.png -Rip one or more menus songs -The finished GH3 notes of fatdog -The stage pack of GH3 -Include the previous updates/fixes of this thread

if i get a chance i may attempt making the fret buttons in 3d, then images of them could be taken from any angle

you guy's working on the fretbuttons, i just wanted to point out one thing.. i'm not 100% sure about this, but pretty sure if i'm not wrong, the frets are sticking much higher in gh3 when you are "riding" a notetrail... if we want to achive this, it's just to increase the height of the image, and viola, you got more space for the frets.. gs counts % of the image, not pixels. the only problem is when you get too high, and the angle of the frets forces you to increase the space between the frets.. understandable? gl wit'em

The issue is two things: 1) GZ lays fretbutton images down on the fretboard, so the raised, third state images can never appear properly (they're tall enough to extend outside the fretboard in GH3) and 2) GZ doesn't quite allot enough vertical space on the fretboard for the first two states, and not nearly enough for the third. Ex (from the above fret buttons):

to achive a close result to what you are showing us reverend, i think just stretching the image would do the trick.. i'll give it a try, and see how it turns out.
EDIT: Yet again i'm wrong about the sizes. Not much we can du unless callisto allows us to use bigger images without resizing them ingame. I would like to get the boardside.png thinner to, but nither that comes trough. gz2 just stretches it to "fit"..

This mod is real ART. I was still using the old GH3 mod, but this is obviously better. However, I have some little problems using it:
- I can't just download it, put into resources folder and play. It crashes and gives me this message "Your resources/menus.xml is not suitable for this game version". I "solved" it by manually editing menus.xml and changing where it says ModVersion="1.0" by ModVersion="1.1", but I don't know if that's OK.
- It doesn't keep my config.xml. I prefer to play in windowed and like to edit some things such as username or the position for the random song option, but everytime I enter the game it restarts config.xml with its default options. Is there anyway I can stop it doing this?
Thanks for this awesome mod and for the help too.
