A hacked XP OS. It's freakin amazing! This 700 mhz laptop is insanely fast now, if nobody knows what performance edition is, and/or wants better performance, definantly look it up.

*yawn*
been doing this for the last couple of years maaaan.
Which are you running? I can categorically state that the best 'premade' custom XP is TinyXP, if only for its insane range of customization options.
Of course, the better thing to do is to use nlite and make your own xp version exactly how you want it.
And yeah, it does make a heeeeuge speed difference to slow pcs man!
EDIT: IIRC, there is also shrunk versions of vista and windows 7, lmao who would hack a beta OS??

Im on the newest version, XP SP3 April. The whole registry is super tweaked and everything uncapped, it's awesome. Just sucks that I still cant run FM though.

I meant more which team made your custom disc. Im assuming it is tinyXP then.
Last i used was rev 07 or rev 09, im not sure which and they had at least 4 differenty preconfigured registry settings (normal, tweaked super tweaked, insane) and all compiled in a batch file so you could kinda alternate between 'normal' xp and insanely tweaked xp and all the levels inbetween depending on your needs.
I say kinda because even 'normal' xp has had some tweaks to it.
Seriously great OS though, if my computer still sucked id still be using it.
