really? you're asking that here?? well you know what the answer's gonna be at the frontman forum, right? suppose i'll fill you in b4 you get burned. Frets on FirePros:- Constant development by many people due to source code.
- Currently supports drums.
- Constant mod development.
Cons:- Contains many many bugs.
- Doesn't work very well on most people's cpu.
- Because it is built on python, memory leaks happen.
- Some mods are bulls***. Also, it's hard to learn to make mods, and it's time consuming.
- Generally custom songs don't have the drum part, and when they do, there are almost never drum fills, meaning auto-star-power needs to be used.
- The community generally sucks at giving you straight tech problem answers.
- Some custom songs are bulls***.
FrontmanPros:- Constant development by one person.
- Currently in development for the support of drums, 3d stages, and possibly mic.
- Mods are easy to make.
- NO MAJOR BUGS.
- Good framerates on most decent computers.
- Supports .chart's, as well as .dat's and .mid's, so you can import the majority of your fof songs.
- Fairly friendly community.
Cons:- Relatively slow development compared to fof.
- Some minor bugs with certain mid files.
- Less mod flexibility.
- Needs a graphics card capable of pixel shaders.
- Far less custom songs and custom song fretters.
So if your cpu can run fof, i'd say (FOR THE TIME BEING) go with fof. and make sure to get FOFIX beta 2. But when we get drum support, i'd definately get your [censored] back over here, lol. Problem is, generally fof is retarded for most people, and in that case, FM is def the way to go.

Yeah I agree that many FOF charts are just poorly made without consideration to what is actually being played in the song.
I'm also working hard to get some good nitch songs on the wiki.
