Have any of you guys heard of it, it is a synthesizer made by Yamaha that allows people to type in lyrics and input notes to make a singer sing. The most popular singer in the Series is Hastune Miku. The character got famous because of this video.
People have also done this
This program looks totally cool, I'm considering about getting my local music store to order me a copy.

it's only in japanese though isn't it? you can sound out english words but it sounds forced and isn't near as fluent as the japanese is
i admit though, the videos like this amuse me for some reason:

That girl's hand is a leek? And that clip with german lyrics: never heard german pronouncation that soft and calm! (: Is there any clips made with the english software? The basic idea of making vocals with pure technology creeps me out..

Vocaloid 2 isn't available outside of Japan and the most popular Vocaloid Characters are only on Vocaloid 2.
