I have recently read news that singer/songwriter John Mayer allegedly disapproves of music action rhythm video games, such as Guitar Hero and RockBand. Mayer's comments were particularly disheartening to me as a musician and as a "Hero" gamer, especially since I've been a fan of his music since day one.

With this said, since it is seemingly an extreme long shot that we will ever get any of his songs adapted and distributed as downloadable content for any of the music rhythm action vidfeo game platforms, I've taken it upon myself to chart my favorite John Mayer song, "No Such Thing", which was his first commercially successful single.
As I am a newb to the GZ community, I charted this song using Freetar Editor because i found it easier to understand how to use "out of the box" than Feedback editor. The Feedback tutorials on this site just haven't been clear enough for me unfortunately. However, in this first-ever attempt, I have encountered the inablility to change the tempo (BPMs) of the MIDI file. So even though the sync of the chart notes seem on-time (for the most part), the note gems/circles don't visually fall on the exact beat-lines that they are supposed to.
If someone with more charting experience could help me out with a more in-depth,
"For Dummes" tutorial of Feedback, as well as tips for adding hammer-on/pull-offs and starpower, I would greatly appreciate it. You can e-mail me at: RockBandDC@yahoo.com
Any comments and suggestions for my first chart attempt (WIP) are also welcomed.
ENJOY! ;D
