Wow... so instead of giving a real answer, people feel to try and make me feel bad for asking something... interesting way to make someone feel welcome.. and yes, i understand that the post i did before was in the wrong thread, but i was unable to delete it (and yes, i did hit the delete button on it, it just didnt want to work at the time), so I had to leave it there... thanks for your help guys... most appreciated
Add to that, the search feature is not all that helpful either, due to I tried to use it to look for help with certain issues i was having with the GZ2 beta6 update3....

pardon the forums behavior, but this DOES sound like a joke topic. it sure sounds like you haven't even played the game if your requesting ho/po's. maybe your on too low of a difficulty?
gz2 uses the same ho/po system as gh3 (custom ho/po's, hp/po after a chords). and it also uses the gh1/2/80's/rb/fof style of detecting of 12th note. if you feel like you need more ho/po's you can even customize the threshold with "hopo_note = X" in the song.ini the lower the number, the more ho/po's you get
hope this helps

Actually, I have played both GZ and GZ2.. as well as FoF and GH and what not... I like GZ and GZ2 alot better than FoF and I play it more than the GH series. However, after revamping a few things with the game and adding better frets and buttons, it makes it easier to play, but was still having issues with the hopo working.. I tried it many times in areas where it should be working.. However, the song files I was using were from FoF and have just downloaded some of the song files from here that people converted and fixed and will see if it works.. the main reason I asked was due to the fact that the hopo's would not work, and since for some unknown reason, the search feature would not give me any relevant info on fixing it let alone figuring out if it was added to the game yet or not.. I will however let you know if the reason it wasnt working was because of the songs i WAS using and the songs i just got done downloading..

Here is the definition of what will be a HOPO in GZ2:
Any note placed within a 12th note of the next note will be a HOPO. However, you can change this definition by opening the chart in a text editor like notepad and adding "hopo_note = 8" into the "[SONG]" section. This will make the window an 8th note. You can also use other numbers other than 8, like 16 and 32....I think it can be any number, not sure on that.
There is another way to make any note a HOPO, and that is by adding a "*" track event. In feedback, press "W" to bring up the events, and put a "*" in it. This will toggle the HOPO setting of the selected note. If the note was going to be a HOPO, the "*" event will make it not a HOPO, and if the note wasn't going to be a HOPO, now it will be.
Oh, and I believe the "hopo_note = 8" will work in the song.ini file if you're using a .mid. You could try to up this to a large number which "should" turn all the notes into HOPO's.
Perhaps the default mod notes are tough to distinguish hopo's? Not sure, haven't played the default mod in....ever I guess.

lol.. never played it in default.. hmmm, well, there is something to be said about it I guess.. I will look at the chart info and see what I can do with it.. thanks for the advice.. most appreciated.. :-)
Umm... NM.. i think I am lost now... tried to do what you said derelict68, but I cant find the chart info.. unless i am not looking in the right area.. then again, i am ok at running through things and revamping some stuff.. but i have a bad feeling you are talking about something I have never done before... If you could possibly give me a heads up as to what you were talking about (in other words.. I need you to dumb it down a little for me, please) I would appreciate it a lot..

do you even have .chart files? cuz if you have a .midi file and a .ini file, then you should go into the .ini file to do these things. it's the same basic idea, just you open a different file.

Yeah, and if you have the .chart, I guess I might not have said that in order to add the "hopo_note" tag, you need to open the .chart in a text editor. The "*" tag gets created inside of feedback.

I cant see any .chart files in any of the song folders, let alone in any of the other folders... if I am to go through the .midi and/or the .ini files, how and/or what would I do?

I guess you missed these... ...you can change this definition by opening the chart in a text editor like notepad and adding "hopo_note = 8" into the "[SONG]" section. This will make the window an 8th note. You can also use other numbers other than 8, like 16 and 32... ...the "hopo_note = 8" will work in the song.ini file if you're using a .mid. You could try to up this to a large number which "should" turn all the notes into HOPO's. if you have a .midi file and a .ini file, then you should go into the .ini file to do these things. Also note, the "*" event only works with .chart files; they cannot exist in .mid files because they would be ambiguous (I.e. to which difficulty do they correspond)
