I just downloaded and got the game working. No problem. Got myself a ps2 Kramer wireless guitar and usb adapter. The guitar will connect to the wireless, but it won't stay that way. It does reconnect, but it's kinda hard to play a song when the damn thing makes you miss about 7 or 8 notes while it's connecting. Moved all around, changed batteries, even got crazy and turned off my wireless network. Gonna try it on my buddy's actual ps2 tomorrow and see if it works, but has anybody else had this problem?

You mean, the kramer loses input for a couple seconds while playing, and it doesnt respond even if you are hitting the buttons, and then becomes normal again? That has happened to me, and my solution for me was that i always put the controller reciever (that little black thing) into the USB adapter before i connect the adapter into my pc. If i do it vice versa (connecting the adapter first to usb and then putting the reciever in it) i get short connection breaks about every half a minute..

Yeah, that's what it's doing, and I tried your suggestion, and it does the same thing. It might stay connected for 10 seconds, it might stay for 30. But never much longer than that. then it will reconnect sometimes immediately, sometimes it takes a couple of seconds. Really damn annoying.

Then theres not much more to do than check if it works normally in ps2 like you said youre going to do, if it does, the problem might be with the adapter..
