well i'm not gonna vote considering i don't like SOME of the stuff (some of it is just compiled from other mods), but most of it i like, it's just not my style. but yeah i think this would make a gr8 defualt mod.

Updated my first post with the "advertisement shot" that I have created, showing multiple screenshots in the same picture, thus saving space, yet still keeping a nice look to it.
And just as a heads-up, yes, the mod has the same theme and colors as the website -- actually the whole theme and color scheme originated from the mod/art, which is primarily why I decided to offer it as the official art. Just tryin to keep it consistent.

one thing is that the name in the mod must be changed to either guitarz or frontman cuz those are the "new official names of the game." We had a poll on which name should be the lone totally official name, and guitarz won by a lot, but callisto still hasn't rele changed the name of the game, although he says it would be wise to not use a game name that sounds or looks anything like guitar hero. so a lot of people have been making mods using guitarz as the main menu name.

Love the art dude, always have. You're getting my vote (not that it counts for much) to have this be the official art. One critique though -- the alpha gradient on the song selection bar needs to be a little less... vibrant. Perhaps a darker alpha or something, or a shorter gradient. There's just too much blue coming up from the bottom in my own personal opinion.

It's not a big deal, so normally i wouldn't have pointed it out, but since it's been brought up, imma second that.

to be honest i dont care about official gz art anymore, polls just dont work, if u really want it to be the official art you should PM callisto and save time and efforts, you wasnt here for some time so you may not understand but thrust me...

@ Tean and CJB: I will take that into serious consideration and make adjustments in my next release, which is to be expected with the new beta version when it comes out; with each new beta comes a new release of art to accompany it to ensure maximum compatibility without too much work on the end-user part. That's how I do it, that's how I've always done it, and it's worked pretty good so far (because I know that gamers are lazy just like me =P ).
@ JD: I actually talked to Callisto when he started this project and we agreed that I would make the art; I just wanted to make sure that the community agreed on this decision before I just thrust it upon them. After all, this isn't just Callisto's game, it's all of ours, and everybody's opinion counts.

Nothing against 8-bit sytle (I love retro games) but don't think it quite fits with the fretboard/notes or style of the ghame. maybe some higher-res cartoons or whatever? And I think the perspective could be a little closer in on the band. It's all cool, I like it, but I'd tweek it.

You should change the song title text to white (or something more legible than gray), it makes it hard to read.

canped:
I'm aware that it doesn't fit, I just haven't changed the stage yet. Changing the stage will take quite a bit of time and I'm currently working on it.
Zhegan:
In order to change the color I would need that same font (or another one of my choosing), and I would need to import it into a new XNA project in Visual Studio, do some funky stuff, and compile the project. This would need to be repeated every time I wanted to make a change to the font; this means an extremely difficult and long process for testing. I am currently working on some alternative ideas for the moment, but -- I have spoken with Callisto about the fonts regarding colors, sizes, and so forth, and he may be including the option of changing font appearance in a font XML descriptor file for easier modification. Granted this be the case, or I discover some other easier way of modifying fonts, I will include font changes in my next release. Until then, I guess you're just gonna have to sit tight; my bad I guess, sorry for the inconvenience.

S see what happend when we tried to choose a name for the game... Please....stop.....i can only take so much laughing at that fail thread. I wonder whos completely pointless idea that was? Hmmmm...... LOL Oh, and i love the mod confusingboat, it looks awesome and i really hope it becomes default. Its not my taste either but like GZGUY said, its just what comes with the game and its a very nice and professional looking theme. Good work.

Ok guys, this has become the official thread for my modpack now that the poll has stopped recieving input. Thanks to all 10 of you who voted...the whole < 1/1000th of the community. Amazing.
Anyways, I have made some serious revisions to the modpack. I have completely redone the score meter, faceoff meter, rock meter, fret buttons, and more. The first post has been updated with a new advertisement of screenshots and a link to download the new revision, which is compatible with Beta 6.3 (or beta 6 update 3, whichever you call it -- it's all the same to me).
EDIT: Also, ignore the 8 Bit stage. It's just the default and I'm still working on a new one.

@ flipsk8r1409: That would be awesome. I'd like to keep them pretty close to the originals though. If you could make them like the GH3 notes just a little shinier. Thank you, and you shall be accredited accordingly.
@ lordluisx: Your English in that statement was 100% perfect, just thought I'd let you know.
@ Everyone: Now that the mod is pretty solid as far as design- and style-wise, I will be updating it for every resolution. So far my list is as follows:
-800x600 -1024x768 -1280x768 -1440x900 -1920x1080
If anyone has another resolution, please let me know and I'll add it to the list. I will edit my first post with the list of available and soon-to-be available resolutions.

1080p please. 1200x1080. Why is everything wide screen on these forums? I don't actually know that many people with wide screen monitors. Also, the graphics are awesome, but why are we using the Frets on Fire stage with Juregon instead of making our own character and stage. Seems funny that we have "Guitar Zero featuring FOF's own Juregon Vanwhatevertheheckitis".

Native 1080p is actually 1920x1080 thank you very much (I'll be sure to add that as a side note to that resolution), it just gets scaled to several different resolutions, like it does for me on my monitor/TV. I have a widescreen monitor, 1440x900. It's an LCD TV and supports 1080p. And about the stage -- this game isn't done yet, there is still much work to be done; I'm waiting until 3d stage support before I implement a stage, because by the time I finish a 2d stage I would immediately have to begin work on a 3d stage -- just a time killer imo. Anywho, I'll add your resolution to the list.

Thanks for the clear up. Also, why didn't I think of the 3d stage? You could use the RB characters at least for now so it isn't as weird. This reminds me of how they used "Welcome to the Jungle" in the awesome beta for Rock Band. I wish there will be a Rock Band beta theme on Xbox Live because the graphics look amazing. Smoke and rounded notes. The beta version of the RBMFH mod doesn't come close to the awesomeness.
