I got an NVIDIA GeForce 6150se nForce 430 and it came standard with my computer, so if you do save up some money, look at some of the last gen video cards.

But sadly, my parents dont' believe in birthday presents or christmas presents I'm asking for a gaming pc w/ 8800 gt 512 *hopes* even though my laptop can play GZ fine. But yeah ask and then if that doesn't work, try working. Maybe they'll be happy that you're "responsible" and end up giving it to you? I don't know what you're parents are like though. Mine are really really strict...

If you REALLY want a gaming machine Get one with a GeForce 9800 GX2, an AMD Phenom 9850, an X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Professional Series, 4gb of DDR3-SDRAM, Windows XP x64 / Windows Vista 64-bit, a 7.1 surround sound system, and a 1080p widescreen monitor.

Gamer soundcards blow. You can get better audio quality with a decent firewire interface and some monitors for a fraction of theprice of those "high-end" things. If it doesn't sound good, that's because it isn't good.

I recommend waiting until Windows 7, when all versions available will be 64-bit; meaning all drivers and software will be 100% compatable because there's no other option. 3: Make sure you have a massive power supply to power all that shiite. I recommend at least, bare minimum, 600w with 19a on the +12v rail. Best choice would be a 1kW PSU though. 4: I have a 1080p widescreen monitor. It's maximum resolution is 1440x900; it's a Magnavox LCD TV. Just because it's 1080p doesn't mean it has massive resolution (1920x1080). 5: Good choice on the AMD Phenom =P
