Hello, I'm pretty new to GZ. And I was wondering how to make the list into a setlist type look. I have made it to where there are different tiers, like 1. Warmup, 2. Apprentice etc. But I don't know how to put the encore there. When I tried, I tested it on the 2nd tier, and when I opened GZ and went to the list, the 2nd tier was gone? Upon further looking, at the bottom of the list under the Bonus song section, there was a new one that was titled "FOLDERS." Inside was the 2nd tier, along with an encore.
But I want to have them all tiered correctly, not in the folder set. Can anyone help me?

i'ts confusing, make sure in the folders with the song, when you click on it, make sure there's not a second folder in there, and that it's just the files. also are you using gz1 or gz2? make sure you are using gz2 ;D And one more thing, make sure if you want help, post it in the help forum, I did it in the wrong one once, and some dude got mad at me

This is the help forum? And I don't think I understand you. I have say, four songs in the 1. Warmup folder, and when I open up GZ2, it has all of the tiers listed correctly. However, when I put a folder designated as ENCORE into the 1. Warmup, and have a song in there, it makes it to where it's all in a tier under the Bonus list titled as FOLDERS. Inside that, it has the said four songs, and the encore correctly listed.
But I want it all correctly listed. And how can I take screenshots of this to help? I have pressed the Print Screen button, but I don't know where to find the shot at?

I don't think the game likes folders within folders. You could just remane the song to have 'encore' at the start or something but then again, does iot really matter?

okay first off, do this:
1. in the folder called songs, remove all folders/files and temporarily move them to another spot. then get 1 song with the ogg, mid or chart, and .ini file. (if you have a .chart file, then no .ini file is needed.)
2. make a new folder in the songs folder. name it the name of the song you chose in step one.
3. move the song you selected in step one into the folder you made in step two. you should now have this as your folder setup:
guitar zero folder / songs folder / your song here folder / song files
try to use it in gz. it should be the only song available. you should not have to open a different folder. did this work for you? if so proceed to step four. if not post the problem.
4. Now, make a folder called "tier 1" in the songs folder (NOT the folder you made in step two.) get the folder that contains your song files (the one you made in step two) and put it in the tier 1 folder. you should now have this as your folder setup:
guitar zero folder / songs folder / tier 1 / your song here folder / song files
Now try it in gz. this time you should see the song under a heading which should say "tier 1." you should not have to go into any folders to see the song displayed. did this work for you? if so, congrats. set up the rest of your songs in this fashion. if not, post the problem.

o ok. so here's wat's happening, you can have multiple song files in a tier folder OR you can have all the songs in different seperate folders, but not both. so if you have four songs and their files in the tier folder, then make a folder for the encore, the game doesn't like that cuz it's like have a song folder inside of a song folder.
if you don't have a setup as mentioned in the latter paragraph, then go into the config.xml and set "song list" to list.
EDIT::: canped i know you can do this cuz that's how i set stuff up. this guy must have it set up differently.

It's ok guys. I just thought it would improve the "look" of the game. But I don't have to have the encore in there. It looks good the way I have it with the tiers. Thanks though!

In other words, no, you can't have a seperate thing for the encore. Deal.
(BTW, person3412, tier is pronounced the same as 'tear', not 'tyre', for future reference)
