Hey all, GuitarStar used to work perfectly a while back. I somehow deleted it. So I just installed it again but now I'm getting a new error right when the Loading screen comes up after I start the game. Still have the XNA Framework 1.0 Refresh and 2.0 installed. Same with the .NET Framework 1.0, 1.1, 2.0, and 3.0. As well as the latest DirectX 9, and Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable package. Anyone know the fix for this error?

Audio system failure?! Check to see that your sound card is active and correct in the Device Manager. If it is, try reinstaling its drivers (check online for latest ones). You could try re-installing all the XNA DX and .NET stuff, too,

OK I found the old Beta 5a and that works... But it's a shame I can't use beta 6. Beta 5 had that major problem with the HOPOs where if you strummed them most of the time it would think you overstrummed. You think Callisto would be able to fix it? It WAS working in beta 5. Just so you know, my sound device is a Realtek AC'97. I always update its drivers from www.realtek.com.tw

Its not your audio hardware, then. Maybe try changing a few of the game's options or try compatibility mode.

I set compatibility mode to true and saved but that didn't fix it. Also in the Device Manager it's working perfectly. And in Control Panel --> Sounds and Audio Devices --> Audio, Realtek AC'97 Audio is set as the playback device. So honestly I have no clue as to what's wrong here. That other guy had the same exact problem: www.guitarzero2.proboards78.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=20help&thread=1621I am using Windows XP Pro x64 Edition in case you are wondering. EDIT: Ok I attached the Visual Studio 2008 Debugger to a new instance of GuitarStar.exe, and here's the log:'GuitarStar.exe' (Managed): Loaded 'C:\WINDOWS\assembly\GAC_32\mscorlib\2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089\mscorlib.dll' 'GuitarStar.exe' (Managed): Loaded 'C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\FeedBack0.97b\GZ Beta 6 - Update 1\GuitarStar.exe' 'GuitarStar.exe' (Managed): Loaded 'C:\WINDOWS\assembly\GAC_MSIL\Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Game\2.0.0.0__6d5c3888ef60e27d\Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Game.dll' 'GuitarStar.exe' (Managed): Loaded 'C:\WINDOWS\assembly\GAC_MSIL\System.Windows.Forms\2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089\System.Windows.Forms.dll' 'GuitarStar.exe' (Managed): Loaded 'C:\WINDOWS\assembly\GAC_MSIL\System\2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089\System.dll' 'GuitarStar.exe' (Managed): Loaded 'C:\WINDOWS\assembly\GAC_MSIL\System.Drawing\2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a\System.Drawing.dll' 'GuitarStar.exe' (Managed): Loaded 'C:\WINDOWS\assembly\GAC_32\Microsoft.Xna.Framework\2.0.0.0__6d5c3888ef60e27d\Microsoft.Xna.Framework.dll' 'GuitarStar.exe' (Managed): Loaded 'C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.VC80.CRT_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.1433_x-ww_5CF844D2\msvcm80.dll' 'GuitarStar.exe' (Managed): Loaded 'C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\FeedBack0.97b\GZ Beta 6 - Update 1\Soopah.Xna.Input.dll' Managed Debugging Assistant 'LoaderLock' has detected a problem in 'C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\FeedBack0.97b\GZ Beta 6 - Update 1\GuitarStar.exe'. I re-installed everything in the Software Requirements though. :/ And I see them in Add/Remove Programs.

Well this is right after a fresh download of GZ2 B6 Update 1.
Gawd this is getting tricky... Beta 5a is still working fine but I hate how the HOPOs pretty much require that you don't strum them.
