I would also like to know what it actually does, i've seen its affect to resolve several gameplay problems.. Also im wondering: if its so effective in correcting some issues, why it isnt on ''true'' in default? Does Compatibility mode have drawbacks?

Bottom line is: It can make your game run smoother, but it comes at a cost: The different sound tracks are possibly much more asynchronuous. That is why I really recommend NOT to enable it. ONLY turn it on, if you're having problems with the default.
Also, I'm not doing any testing in compatibility mode anymore. Therefore, you might experience some sound-system related bugs (like songs ending early). I might even remove that mode completely in future versions.

I canĀ“t put my curiosity a side soo.. y try the compatibility mode and yes have to many problems with synchronicity, like during the song it ups and down the volume or change the voice of the singer.
Thanks callisto2002 for reply the question (i start to think there is mi GZB6 had the problem but no, is only compatibility mode =3 )
