Wouldnt risk it. Could have a possible burn out. 250watt is so weak anyway

It would probably divide by zero, too. Thus, putting the universe at risk.

18 amps? thats alot for such a little card considering I've run an 8800GT on 16A, a 6600GT AGP on 14A, and my 6200 TC ran on 450w (the 8800GT was on a 400w and 6600GT was on a 350)
Still, 250watts is pretty much JUST enough to run a 6200. get a bigger power supply so the voltage is more stable (*usually, not a guarantee though!*) and its one less thing you gotta buy if you wanna go bigger in the future.

@mew
thanks for the info i dont really plan on going bigger (ill buy a new pc first)
the only reason i ask is cause i have an 5500fx in it which i was going to put in my other p4 . and buy a (6200 for this pc) so both my pc's can run gz
i just ask cause stores want same price for 5500fx special order and i can get a 6200 instore for the same price. just need another card to run on my other pc that supports gz fof etc

6200 is a low power card, especially if you get the turbocache, they're really not that slow. However if you're replacing the FX 5500 with it, chances are you're on AGP and that will up the power draw for it a bit (only a little), still if your power supply handled the 5500 just fine, the 6200 will be no sweat for it.

dude i just put a 6200 on a really cheap 250W psu and its fine. if the 8600GT can run on a 350W with all other peripherals too, then the 250W or even 200W can handle a 6200. and its GZ2..come on! it dont require anything like commercial games. and if u have a FX5500 why are u replacing to play GZ? it should run. that card has SM2.0
if u get real bad lag, make sure that whatever resolution ur running the game in, u scale the StageBackground.png down to that res or else it will be laggy for no good reason other than the fact that people want a hi-res wallpaper in their 640x480 game.

@orange90
lol i want another card to put in my other pc lol. gz anf fof runs fine and with fraps running with little to no lag,so thats not an issue
just simply asking if i got a 6200 would it run off a 250w without od. i dont power anyother internal stuff besides motherboard cdrom hdd and graphic card. all else is external usb with their own power supplies from wall.
but thanks for the tip

yep. np.
definately get a 6200, but dont get a PCI cuz they screw up in XP for some reason, graphical anomolies. and if u get the AGP version, it will do it in Vista, but fine in XP. i have both, so it may just be mine but just a heads up if its a card related problem.
p.s. dont get the TurboCache 6200, get the OC by BFG. the TC version sucks and isnt supported by lots more stuff.
