At some point when this project wraps and GZ 2.0 is finally released for download. As we all know - it is going to spread like cancer across the internet.
I'd like this chance to address the gaming industry as a whole.
Please learn a lesson from the crippled Music Industry. Seven years later - They are still scratching thier heads wondering where Shawn Fanning came from, what the hell happened and how the hell are they going to salvage the business.
Here is my soapbox moment.
The gaming industry needs to take note. People want choices and i really think the industry is missing the boat here. If Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo do not offer games like GH and Rockband with open importing of songs so people can play their favorite MP3s - The gaming industry will lose money and customers in the long run. Does it make any sence that games like "Def Jam Icon" and "Saints Row" offer players the ability to import personal MP3s to enhance game play but pure music games like GH1, GH2, Encore Rock the 80s and Rock Band do not?
Kids have time to unlock, crack, hack and debug. They do it for free and will continue to do so.
Offer us games we want to play and enable games to be played the way we want to play them.
