i know it's already been pointed out, when you miss a note, the song.ogg cuts out instead of the guitar.ogg but i just turned on pitchshift for fun and when i whammy, the song.ogg pitch changes O.o
is it possible that you mixed the guitar and song up somewhere callisto?

Probably. I'm still collecting bugs, because tomorrow I'll probably have the time to implement some fixes. I'll look at the issue tomorrow then.

When I played a chart file, I don't think GZ2 likes it when an offset is defined in scientific notation. In a chart I have, the offset was set as 5.30499e-313. I think GZ2 assumed it was 5.30499 seconds as an offset. EDIT:If you want the chart file, I can upload it for you. EDIT II: Ignore that. It was because I used a different ogg, which required a different offset. However, after tinkering around with this, starting up the game, and after selecting a difficulty in quickplay this happens now: It wasn't happening before, and after tinkering around with one song, this happens now. I reinstalled the game and it still happens. Any fix for this?

hayabusa93Stop screaming. bob78h is exactly right, this is a song error. GZ already reads the song when you're selecting it in the setlist, so that it can give you the chorus during the song preview. One of your songs' mid files is broken. luigi074Looks like your chart file is broken. It is missing the assignment operator (I think "=" for chart files, look it up within the file, you'll see it instantly) in one of the chart file's tags.

hayabusa93I remember having that same problem that the game crashed in the setlist when one specific song was highlighted. Im not sure, but i think i solved the problem by opening song.ogg in a audio ediing program (i use audacity) and saving it again to song.ogg. It may be possible that the problem can be caused by other ogg track too.. EDIT: Sorry, i remembered wrong. The error i was having at that time was "ERR_MEMORY". So like Callisto said, the midi file is corrupt. Try to re-export the MID file again with Anvil Studio, for example.

KK, It could be more than one song error?
How can i repair it?
How can i know which song has the error?

Well, does that crash error occur everytime you enter the setlist, or does it come after you highlight one exact song in your setlist? Or is it just random?
If you find out the right midi file that is the problem, we can then help you repair it.

If you find out the right midi file that is the problem, we can then help you repair it. It occurs as soon as I enter the setlist. EDIT: Yes callisto, apparently my Master of Puppets chart file is messed up somewhere, but I can't find what the problem is with it. When I move or rename the chart file like I do for backup purposes, the game works fine. Here's the chart file that's causing me problems: www.mediafire.com/?myjmmthv45s

This beta runs faster but last one had more HO/POs...which is a bit of a bummer. The 2dstage is nice but random stages at different time intervals like Alarian's latest would've been better. No problems as far as errors...and I've messed around with it quite a bit.

Man, you weren't kidding when you said this version is much more difficult. I can barely pass songs that used to be a breeze. A bit to much of a jump for my personal tastes, but excellent job nonetheless. I think for now I'll stick with beta 5 until I fell more comfortable with the difficulty.
I wonder, is this possibly a calibration issue? I can get through GH3 songs on the 360, but on my PC it's much tougher. I know GH3 PC has a calibration option.
