Wow, very impressive Callisto. I really like the 2D stage and can't wait for a 3D one. Also, the game practically plays almost as good as Guitar Hero now. Misirlou plays like a charm.
Keep up the good work. No noticeable bugs yet, but that's just because I only played one song so far XD.

stranxkOf course, just raise the mod resolution in config.xml AND provide a higher resolution image. rockerjAs you MIGHT have noticed, the game includes a new config.xml, menus.cml etc. Use all the files that come with the game and don't install any mods, they are probably not yet compatible with the newest release. JD2504If you count the number of missed notes / miss-strums you should end up with a number that is equal (+/- 1 strum) to GH3. Also, if you count the number of strums necessary to go from one rock meter section (say yellow) to another one (say red), you should end up with the right number of strums.

@callisto i have tried it, look at this: this is the mainmenubackground.png (witouth the white color): xs128.xs.to/xs128/08251/test2775.pngand this is what i got if i change the resolution in the config.xml with 1440x900 (doesnt matter if i put 800x600 or 1440x900 in the menus.xml i have the same result): xs128.xs.to/xs128/08251/test1588.jpga suggestion can be: if the menus.xml and config.xml haves the same resolution dont resize the images...

stranxkIf menus.xml and config.xml have the same resolution, then images are not resized. If the resolution in menus.xml is lower, then the images will be scaled up, otherwise they are scaled down.

hi callisto2002 can you help with the grays colors

superkompanyIf your config.xml gets reset it probably means that you made some mistake when editing it. Notice that it's case sensitive, for example. eterno_xThe gray notes mean that you graphics card doesn't support the color shader used by the default notes. However, you can still use most custom notes from the forum. For example, look at the notes submission thread: guitarzero2.proboards78.com/index.cgi?board=submissons&action=display&thread=333Also, you can use the Rock Band and GH3 notes that are floating around on the forum (where are those, actually?)

I just wanted to point out to folks that if you want to get a mod working you simply need to do the following:
1-Open the GZ beta 6 menus.xml in notepad. Copy everything from the start to the end of the "resolution 800x600" line. 2-Re-download the mod you want to use (optional if you have the files somewhere handy or are savvy enough to figure out the rest) 3-Extract the mod to the desktop and open menus.xml in notepad. Select from the beginning to the end of the "version 1.3" line and save 4-Install the updated mod.

If you still run at 800x600 you won't notice, but yes - other resolutions will change the position of things.

Oh, yes, that was probably the reason for me, teancum, when i tried rock band mod for myself. I didn't try it with normal 800 600, i think. doh23Like we have discussed, that teancum's short tutorial helps you getting that rock band mod in Beta 6. @ JD and Callisto Yes, i tested a same song with GH3 and GZ, and the downstrums are precise (tested with Slow Ride, 18 missed notes from beginning to failure). I could not count the exact upstrum count from the song begin to the point where the meter is max, but in both games that spot were on the same place. So yes, GZ and GH3 has now the same down/upstrums, and it should be like that EDIT: Almost forgot: Callisto, i found a bug from the game. I put the "MissVolume" to 0 from config.xml.. it should mean, that when i miss a note, the guitar.ogg track should be muted. But instead, the game mutes the song.ogg track and guitar track keeps playing!

I think that XBOX whammy support is pretty common problem here. I have a PS2 Kramer, the game recognizes it in the control options but whammying still doesnt work.

The stage and new difficulty are rather pleasant surprises. Anyways, I seem to be the only one who is having this problem. For some reason, I can't get the BassStream and GuitarStream tags to work. As before, the band plays but the other tracks don't. The link below is the file I am trying to use. LinkThe chart sounds fine in feedback, so the file names match. Am I missing something, or is my PC just a piece.

txfIt has probably to do with the alpha transparency, which is now allowed in note models. However, it's difficult to say because the notes you are using aren't the ones that come with the game melonman67, fude, stranxk I'll look into it

It actually does, but its kind of wierd. My girlfriend can somehow get it to work (graphics and all) and I can only get the wacky sound (referring to beta 5 update 4a) to go. I tried yankin the whammy all over the place, pushing it a little further than it was designed for (yes I know I was damaging it) and I STILL cant figure out how she does it. EDIT: I'm talking about the Kramer as well, the XBOX one worked perfectly for me

OK. Here is the first real bug I noticed. When you make video the stage, it does not start at the same time as the chart. In other words the first few seconds of the video are cut off.
