Both fretboards would be small. And... both would use same notes..

Now, that's a really nice mod. I'm thinking about including this within the game somehow - not for the next updates, but perhaps with the next bigger beta.

yeah, i totally had to log in to mention this... if you are having a double-strum problem when playing drum tracks, you can try to adjust the "HOPO_NOTE=" tag in the songs .ini file,a higher value than 12 should negate most HOPOs verdad?
Awesome Mod Great Job! + Exalted!

Do you have the rb drum set? If you do you need to do this: Okay ill share with you my fix for drums. get Xpadder and map the respective drum pads to a keyboard button that allows strum. example if you were to set 1=g 2=r 3=y 4=b 5=bass you would map those in Xpadder. and if you were to set strum to.. lets say p you would map all those to p. hope this helps. P.S if you want me to write a config file from xpadder for it, i will.

actually fixing the sound issues when missing a note shouldnt be much of a problem. you just replace the song.OGG file for the guitar and viceversa.
the problem with that is that if you miss a note the singing would also stop along with any other aditional instruments there might be recorded on the song.OGG.
the only way of fixing this that i can think of is with an audio editor removing only the drums part and renaming it guitar.ogg and blending the original guitar part with the rest of the song.ogg

What you suggested (extracting the drum part with an audio editor) is entirely impossible. Doesn't matter what any £20000 piece of equipment says it can do- it's absolutly impossible.

In fof forums there is a topic with rb songs that contain drums.ogg.. you can rename it to guitar.ogg.. orr just wait until the game supports all the .oggs

I tried it out with my PS2 drum set and you can assign the fret buttons to your colors and you can use another button to star power but it's still built off of a guitar version so you still have the problem of taking the out the strumming. There's still a button to assign to star power instead of you doing a drum solo and going into overdrive. I'm waiting to see how Callisto is going to support this. Whether it be to completely add the mod pack to the original game as just an instrument you are selecting or an entirely different program like you have it. Either way would be awesome.
