Drums Mod Download: www.mediafire.com/?dj9zbx2zwdcSo.. here it is. The drums mod. ;D I have included 3 songs in the .zip (Maps, Run to the Hills and Enter Sandman.) If you have other Rock Band songs you can open the .mid in Anvil Studio and rename PART DRUMS to PART GUITAR. ISSUES:1-In a starpower section the notes start to rotate and look really weird. Fix: Disable notes rotation in a starpower section? - 2-When starpower is activated the fretboard turns bigger and the notes are all the same. Fix: I don't really know how to fix this.. - 3-Strum problem and need to rename the PART DRUMS to PART GUITAR so the game reads the drum track. Fix: Make the game read the Drum track and use drum controls? My idea was to add guitar and drum controls in options, and then another menu in practice and quick play to select the track.. Guitar, bass or drums. (Guitar and bass would use guitar controls, Drums would use drum controls.) - 4-When you miss a note you still can hear the drums. (But not the guitar). Fix: Make the game in the drum mode mute song.ogg or drums.ogg? (Not many songs have the drums.ogg file, soo.. maybe if the drums.ogg isn't there the game mutes song.ogg?) - 5-When you hit a bass note you won't see any glow or hitflame. Fix: Center the effect for the 1st note (Bass note)? I think these are all the issues i can remember.. if you find more bugs please say! Thanks to: JD2504 for the great Rock Band mod, and fatdog for the Rock Band notes!!!

error number 2 seems to be becuase the starpowerfretboard.png in your resources was not edited to have the first (green) row deleted.

this is becuase that's how fatdog made them. there is a seperate file for sp notes and hopo sp notes but point blank they all have to be the same color and shape (sux cuz of bass pedal) cuz they're all in one file (aka there are five regular files for regular notes and five for regular note hopos, but only one file for all notes when they're sp and one file for all hopo sp notes.)

great mod! and just as a heads up, everything u change in the regular version of notes, fretboards, etc. also has to be changed in the starpower versions. hope u can get that working better.

This is what I've been waiting for. I hope as many people fret the drums just as much as the drums. You guys gotta show me how many songs have the drum parts. I"m getting my drumset next week. Oh by the way, does the bass pedal work?

drums will work if you have the ps2/ps3 versions.

I think the drumset works.. but i don't think you can set it up correctly to play this mod.. great mod! and just as a heads up, everything u change in the regular version of notes, fretboards, etc. also has to be changed in the starpower versions. hope u can get that working better. The fretboard is now changed, but i can't change the notes..

Callisto, fix this glitches, and why can't you set an option to remove starpower notes' rotation? It gotta be easy, huh?

Okay ill share with you my fix for drums.
get Xpadder and map the respective drum pads to a keyboard button that allows strum. example if you were to set 1=g 2=r 3=y 4=b 5=bass you would map those in Xpadder. and if you were to set strum to.. lets say p you would map all those to p.
hope this helps.
P.S if you want me to write a config file from xpadder for it, i will.

cool guys!
i hope castillo sees this. Maybe he can make a drum mode once he sees that we're already working around pretty much everything. Drums in GZ seems much more of a possibility now then it ever did b4.
here's something i was thinking, to fix hopo problems for drum tracks, (at least for right now) set the hopo threshhold to 999 and use the '*' event in feedback to make the hopo's in your guitar track. then you have correct hopo's in guitar and none in drums.

I don't think there are hopo problems.. i replaced hopo notes with normal ones.. you can't see hopo's ..

true you can't see them but they are still there and if you hit a hopo with the drums it would cuase you to double-strum. which would suck if it was a fast song cuz there would be a hopo after every hi-hat/snare combo and every bass pedal/hi-hat combo.

I don't know about that, I personally have felt that the double strum problem was taken care of in B6, I strum hopo's all the time and don't get penalized for it.
On another note, the other nice thing would be to be able to have different notes and fretboards for multiplayer so you could play drums and guitar on the same song. This is probably a long way off though...

If the drum "mode" is added (Reads PART DRUMS from the mid, uses own controls, notes and fretboard) i think it will be possible..
