I've installed your game, and play with it one time (the game is really great), but the second time i've launch it, when I select the subfolder with the songs and should start the preview of they the game crashed with the error:
"system.invalidoperationexception: invalid MThd header"
i've tryed to reinstall the game, use the rockband2 mod but it is always the same...

Can we get a screenshot of the error message?

Sounds like a bad song file, try removing your songs directly and add one you know you played. If it works, then you have a little digging to find out which song is bombing out the game.

Judging from the "MThd" mention, it appears to be a midi file problem, so you want to focus specifically on songs that use a notes.mid instead of a .dat or .chart file.

But considering the error comes in the setlist, in which .mid file isn't read yet? As far as I think of it, the game loads the .ogg/s for preview and song.ini/.chart/.dat file for reading info of the song, the .mid file isn't processed in that moment. Just a wild guess, I don't know when or what the game does with the files.
But like derelict and darthslaw suggested, track down the faulty song and then consider what to do with it: delete it, or try to re-save the specific file that's causing problems. I've had problems with .ogg files this same way, opening them in Audacity and exporting the file again as .ogg file fixed it.

Well, I copied a legitimate midi song and started changing the bytes in the header. I managed to get the "Invalid MThd header" error when I changed the MThd to MThf (other changes yielded other midi errors)
Now, my game didn't crash out until I hovered over the song in the menu, so it seems the game will load the midi for a song when the song is selected in the menu. If harlan76's game crashes upon entering the subfolder, it may be the first song that is invalid somehow (as it would be selected by default).
