Ok it seems to me that this game is so much harder than GZ2 was...I hear it is the same code, but it just seams like it takes so many less mistakes to fail. Is there a way to fix this?
...in my game if you miss like 6-8 notes in a row it's just auto fails you or something like that. Can't even get past 10 seconds of the fast part in freebird, where as I use to be able to beat it before... Maybe it's just me or my game...lol

did you have gz2 beta 6.3? i think the meter was made harder after beta 5. so if you had any version before that, then yes, the meter is a lot harder, haha.
frontman 6.3 = gz2 6.3, callisto (coder) has not done anything since gz2 6.3 so there is nothing we can do except change the look of it which is exactly what we did.
if you are having a hard time though, i'd suggest practice mode since there isn't any cheats or trainers you can use.

Well that expains everything hahaha WTF!! lol I never had gz 6 ...never ran right on my old HD for some reason (comp. was prolly to junked up). I had GZ 5 with GH 2 mod.

GZ 5 was damn near identicle to the way GH for ps2 played when you used the songs from gh.... freebird was "ideniticle" to the ps2 version when played on gz5. This kinda sux to me cause im not use to it..... thank alot for your help though!! I'll just look for gz5 somewhere on the net...
Im sure it's gotta be posted somewhere.... how bout a frontman 5.3 release??? hahaha Oh well, wishfull thinkin...

Same problem here. I like the game a lot. It runs much smoother on my system (Athlon 1,4Ghz, 1GB SD-RAM, Radeon 96000) than FoFix.
But it is way to hard!
It's not only the problem that you get kicked out after 6 missed notes but the hitwindows seem also to be much to short.
Is there any way to change them?
Did not find anything in the config.xml.

nope can't change them.
sorry dude i fail to see how it's much harder than gh2, but i guess everyone thinks differently. I am thinking that "EVENTUALLY" the meter might get changed to be a slight bit easier. idk tho.

The last GZ version I used was quite a while back (I quit for a long time because the graphics didn't quite sync up with the game, (yes, the program, not the sound, which was synced perfectly) which made playing it very difficult) but I remember the rock meter being very unforgiving. After taking a break, I decided to see if the game had improved. There is no longer an issue with the graphics, but I agree, the rock meter right now is much less forgiving than the ones in rock band or guitar hero. It'd be great if they moved that setting into the config.xml file.

The scoremeter was modified in Beta 6, in order to match the one Guitar Hero 3. It's been noticed that some other issues such as note window are different, thus making Frontman slightly harder than GH3. Like CJB's old post above, it's been considered to make the scoremeter slightly easier to make the difficulty a bit more suitable. But as now, you'll have to stick with the current version - it still has training mode for the hard ones, you know.

Sensay I think you really need to stop provoking him. If you're going to fight take it somewhere else. Somewhere that doesn't disrupt the normal forums; nobody wants to go into a thread hoping to see some good conversation and find people fighting instead. It seems that's all these threads have turned into these days, so if you could please do the community a favor and stop feeding these mini flames, that'd be great.
