Could you post the chart please? I'd like to take a look at this problem. It's been reported a few times before I think (or a similar problem) but because no one previously posted any charts for me to experiment with, I couldn't recreate the problem and identify the cause, and therefore, I couldn't fix anything. Thanks.

Ah, thank you. I think I found the problem -- the converter expects that there is content (At least one note, event, etc) in each difficulty section. When the section is empty, the converter tries to parse "content" anyway, and ends up throwing an exception because it can't correctly interpret the line. For now, you should be able to open and save the file to itself in Feedback (0.93b is what I'm using right now, but apparently 0.94b is out now (I'll have to get that one) -- it should also work). linkI'll fix this and post an updated version of the converter this afternoon.

Ok, I kind of fell away from programming this thing for a while, but I've been working on it sorta this weekend. I'm going to redo the super converter I mentioned, since the way it was going was becoming far too complex for my liking. I'm going to use a factory style programming pattern this time.
Now as I said, I was working on this this weekend, and I've been working on a chart to midi converter. So yes, I've figured out how to read/write midi files -- therefore, the final converter will be able to read and write chart, dat, sng, and mid format files. I'll be uploading the chart2mid converter when I finish it (it will be pretty simple... no track mapping, SP generation, etc), with hopes that some of you can test it and tell me if anything breaks, since midi I/O is a whole new venture for me programming-wise.
More later.

Ok, here it is. I probably won't get to read much on here until next weekend, since I'm going away to a place where I won't have constant wireless internet, but don't hesitate to post bugs. Thanks. Chart2Midi Converter Beta DownloadI've also posted this on ScoreHero... it will be more useful over there right now since all of the new stuff I put in is supported only by Guitar Hero but currently not the Guitar Zeroes. Posted a new version of the chart2midi converter. 18 August 2008 - MediaFire DownloadScoreHero Post: I know we don't really need the safety notes -- that was a Guitar Hero only feature. When this gets worked into the master converter, safety notes, among other features, will be optional and more controllable. 14 September - Minor Update Note:Converter DownloadSample chart pack
