OUT THERE?! Yes, that was meant to be a Pink Floyd reference. On a side note, yes, it truly is me. I'm taking my last class in College right now (kind of) and I'm back with a vengeance, and also some nifty new skills. Even though rhythm games are kinda on the downward slope of popularity, I'm pretty confident in giving this project another try. When I think of an appropriate title I'll let you know and make the necessary changes here (if it's deemed worthwhile). Other than that I really have nothing else to say. Other than it'll be nice to see familiar faces again ;D or well...you know. Forever and always, -ConfusingBoat <3 lol Update: the new home for my projects, including the new rhythm game, is at convectionsoftware.forumotion.com/ so join up and help support all the new fun!

Someone sent out a mass text from the forum. Something changing?

Not going to lie...I had a hard time figuring out where you where trying to send us. For a second I thought perhaps you got drunk and decided to send out a mass message just to be funny. Anyways, I would be interested in participating in whatever project you would like to do.

EDIT: Damn moving and only having internet through a dead battery mifi...CJB sniped me in being the first to reply.
EDIT2: I modified the header bar to point people here.

Er, seems to me that this is something of a waste of time. Phase Shift is the new rhythm game, and I doubt anybody here can bring new stuff to the table. Hate to crush the hopes and dreams of us all, but that's the way it goes.

Rofl, I love the video Derelict. And sadly the three of you make more responses than I thought I would get. Welcome back guys. Anybody actually feel like it would be worthwhile making another rhythm game? If not I have various other projects that I can tend to. It's just nice to hear from you guys again good times. P.S. I totally wasn't drunk. Maybe off exhaustion, because it was pretty late at night, but definitely not alcohol. EDIT: I'm also working on starting up a software/game development team. Just made the forums, they're located here: convectionsoftwaregroup.freeforums.orgconvectionsoftware.forumotion.com/ (other place wasn't working out)

Well, I for one am all for it. My coding/programming skills are abysmal, though I remember doing a few GH2 Customs back in the day for PS2. I certainly have opinions, time to test, and other stuff, so would love to see this happen. - Tommy

While I wouldn't call myself experted or anything at Phase Shift (I sifted through the forums a little bit and read some newsposts), it sure seems like it's lacking a lot of things that some people (especially some people that used to hang out here) would be looking for. Now, as to whether it'd be worth the time to build another Rhythm game....*shrug* I still love them and would love for somebody to really get something like Voxtar careers correct or to make it easy enough to theme where you didn't have to be a file system genius to know where to put certain files or whatever, but if each theme piece had an installer and in-game you could choose the theme piece by piece or whole themes at one time...I mean really, it'd be prettty cool to see one that was actually easy to jump in and play and be intuitive with how everything worked from themes/gameplay/settings. Seems to me every indie rhythm game out there requires you to spend hours upon hours searching each forum for little tidbits and hints on how to do certain things. My rambling is supposed to say, "Yes, I'd love to start a new game if you're truly up for it.". However, I'd suggest to find a way to make it easy for multiple people to help on the game without you taking it all on your back all the time. Also, I think before we would really go out and start recruiting help the best thing is to build a small demo to show us you're serious and can get the timing right and all that, then release it to the masses and then as a group start figuring out how we want everything else to work...damnit, I'm rambling again. Sorry...I'll go now. Let me know how I can halp.

Anyways everyone can jump on over to the forums I linked to earlier. Still slightly under construction, but that's where I plan on hosting everything. Mainly because I also have other projects and other people working with me whom I know personally, and I just think it's nice to have all projects in one large conglomeration. The other forums are also home to private projects that belong to the newly formed Convection Software Group, and will not be visible or accessible to anyone who is not part of the private development team.

Frontman. Pretty much a complete recode lol. Hosted on the new forums I've linked above. No executable yet, but it's coming.

I gave up on Phaseshift. It's just waiting and waiting... I don't think it will get any further than it is now, and the IS STILL NO FREAKIN STAGE SUPPORT!!
I was promised that, they were so close but they aren't bothering with it. PLEASE, CB, make stage support and 3D goodness for me!

Stages will be supported. Basically I'm planning on having an XML type file that will define the position or any models and lights that you want to use, and the game will load them right up.
Edit: Also, just a reminder that I will primarily be checking and working with the new Convection Software forums, so please post there instead ;D
