The sticky topic is really easy to miss, and lots of times gets looked over, so I created my own topic for 2D Stages. I'll also add these to the sticky, but it's nice to have my own topic. Rock Band StageA great stage for something generic. It's about 575 images, so no having a 5 second clip. Pics are widescreen, but the stage is actually set up for 800x600. Normal gameplay What it looks like when your star power is ready DOWNLOAD LINK 34mb ========================================= ========================================= Guitar Hero 3: Judy Nails StageThis stage is a ~95 frame stop-motion style 2D stage. It was created by taking frames from a video Moonflow43 posted. It is 800x600, but the screenshots here are 640x480. It adds about 10-15 seconds to the load time the first time you use it, and then only about 5-10 seconds every time after that. FPS was not affected on my computer; Intel P4 3.0ghz ATI Radeon x300 128mb 1.5gb DDR2 ram Main animation (70 frames) -- changes views constantly Star Power Gained (6 frames) Star Power Active (20 frames) -- not yet implemented in beta 6 DOWNLOAD LINK (mediafire) 38mb -this is an .exe, but it only extracts the files. Extract to /Guitar Zero. Feel free to scan it for viruses, but it's clean. Beta 6.1 FIX --REQUIRED for Beta 6.1 and newer

For some reason the image wouldn't stretch to fill the screen on the rock band one. Seemed like the smaller I made the resolution in the Stade2D.xml the more it would fit my screen
Haven't tried the GH3 one yet
EDIT: Doesn't seem like the star power parts are working for me for the GH3 one

Well, I found the RB stage can't be handled by either my computers 1st one: Intel 945 GM 256 MB Gfx, (2D = better support than, pretty much any other card, 3D support = poor, no HW TnL) 2nd one: GeForce 6800 (I think, I know the number is 6800, great 3D, good 2D) + 3.4 Ghz cpu
Both show up as having 2 CPUs, but even that doesn't help with the skips
The stuff loads fine, but when I get into the song, it starts skipping frames on both, and makes it impossible to play
However, I shrunk the pics by 1/2 with Photoshop Elements batch fix, and removed all the double pixels
The result? Same image quality, half the pixels to load, and the frame skipping has been reduced to a point where the game is actually playable now.
If you get frame skips on the rock band stage, so much that you can only hit... pretty much every 3rd - 6th note, then I recommend you try this
Tean, would it be OK if I upload the fixed stuff for those who don't have a batch converter / are too newbish to work one?
(also, I changed the stage2d resolution from the... 950xWhatever... or something, to now.. 480x270, image quality is the same, it auto stretches and smoothes it out, without having to load each doubled pixel)
