Even the Lite version lags.

Hello congratulations by your work, and excuses by this suggestions:
Your computer is super high computer, in this world the almost we have low (i have guitar joystick by usb connected to toshiba celeron mobile laptop) and medium (desktop AMD 64 x2, Geforce7600, 1 GB) computer (i beleave that of 80% of people has low and medium ) you work don't run in medium computer and low computer.
Please : Develop you MOD to 800x600 (it is popular resolution) Reduce the number of frame to 160 for low computer and 250 for medium computer. Capture every frame to 800x600, for that the GZ game don't resize the picture (it take it time) With this changes you capture every frame to medium quality (realy the capture low quality to 600x480, we see bizzarry)
Excuses.
PD: Please learnme how do for convert the original video of concert from guitar hero 3 PC (or aerosmith), or wich program capture the animated video from this game at 800x600 medium quality (I use fraps but it capture when i play game, then every frame has the fretboard and my pulsed buttons, your frame are nice and cleanly)
Thanksss

Don't change anything, if guys are trying to play on a dud system that's their problem not yours. Great job. Now, now, don't be elitist. This is Guitar Zero 2, bringing the experience of Guitar Hero to people for free and with vastly smaller requirements. It's supposed to be by the people, for 'em, and with rock for all.

Try increasing this number: <speed>53500</speed> in stage2d.xml. Example: <speed>60000</speed> -if i rezise the images to 800x600 the stage would be H U G E, yah it takes time to load but only the first time, you can wait -i didnt make those videos i took them from IGN cuz they have nice quality i hope you understand now as close it gets to GH/RB/GTA the higer requeriments it needs lol

Capture every frame to 800x600, for that the GZ game don't resize the picture (it take it time) It takes more memory to run 800x600 frames than resizing 640x480

How did you record Guitar Zero with X-fire?

How did you record Guitar Zero with X-fire? copy the exe and rename it to GH3.exe then in the xfire go to games select guitar hero 3 select manually set and browse to your GZ folder, the xfire will think gz is gh3 --------------- please understand that the stage is just an extra i cant make it work on all computers, if you have tried all the possible solutions the best you can do is go to FoF forum and get a smaller and simple one the instructions are alreay in another thread.

Capture every frame to 800x600, for that the GZ game don't resize the picture (it take it time) It takes more memory to run 800x600 frames than resizing 640x480 you has reason, but i beleave that processor has take more time mathematicly to rezise, and the instruction to resize is bitblitz - that preload all stage in memory and then the game use copy instrucction, the vga-card cache the frame with this style. It resizes the textures once, and that is at load time. It does not dynamically resize the textures every time it shows them. Trust me, as a programmer you will always get faster performance with smaller textures than need to be resized than with larger ones that are the correct size.

Rename GH3.exe to !GH3.exe, rename GuitarStar.exe to GH3.exe. Record, exit, rename them back.

how are you sure that its not overheating? actually its very possible since that mod has a heavy stage, that could be the reason it only happen with that mod
