Hey guys. Wanted to share a few links for my band Walking Corpse Syndrome: www.walkingcorpsesyndrome.comwww.myspace.com/corpsewalkerWe're a 6 piece metal band out of Missoula Montana. We feature two drummers on full drum sets, keys, samples, and violin. Thanks for checking us out. As a side note: I found out about Guitar Zero Frontman after one of our band members said "hey, we should see if we can get our songs on Guitar Hero". Then I read a article in PC Gamer about FoF and Frontman. WoW what a great bit of software! I have a question though: what are the limitations/possibilities should we port our songs to Frontman and decide to sell copies of the Frontman versions of our album at shows? Understandably we would not be calming to own/produced Frontman, just our songs included in the bundle. I'd like to be able to sell disks that include the software with our songs already packaged with it. Thanks for any info!

Unfortunately, there is no way you could bundle this free game with your own music and sell it.
For starters, its a non profit indie game. People are welcome to donate there music to the game, but not at a charge. That really goes against the whole nature of the project.
Secondly, we are going through negotiations with activision at the moment anyway, if copies of the game where to be sold in any form we would be completely taken down by them.
Although i feel it is kinda wrong to want to charge for music in this game, i totally understand where this request is coming from. At best i think you could simply sell CD's with the songs on, and links to what software they are compatible with/ guides on how to use them.
Sorry i couldnt have been more positive.

Totally understandable. That's why I asked first. We may still create our songs for this system and offer them as a free download to our fans. It's all about connecting with your audience. Thanks for the quick reply. Hope everything goes will with Activision.

Not a problem. Thanks for understanding. If you do decide to offer up the music for the games, you may consider asking both here and at fof for fretters to help you make the songs. Both communitys have excellent fretters residing within. If you explained the nature of the project im sure you would get some response. Thanks. EDIT: Something else i thought of, im not sure what the stance would be if you wanted to bundle the game and distribute it freely (bearing in mind the game is still in devolopment now anyway) im happy to enquire for you.

That would be great! I'm all about keeping as many options open. No point in closing doors before you know whats behind them. Thanks!

Ok, ill send you a PM soon, let you know if it would be a possibility. Obviously, even if it were a posiibility, existing problems still need to be overcome first, so it wouldnt be an immediate thing.
