[glow=red,2,300]Hey guys...[/glow] This is probably the most pointless request, but it could be the first step toward making a vocal track. Before we do ANYTHING, we are forgetting that we have to make Guitar Zero support mics. Probably how it would have ended is getting the vocal track in, and then realizing - "Wait, we didn't make GZ support mics." And at that time, we will probably have so much in GZ, that putting in mic support may almost be impossible. What we can do now is add support for any standard USB microphone. Basicly what I had in mind was to just capture and playback your voice when playing the game. Nothing big. Besides, if you had friends that didn't wanna play, you could play guitar, and ur friend could just jam for fun. Like I said, it is nothing big, but this would be the first step toward vocal support. This is probably so obvious that some of us may have forgot. And don't yell at me if we were all ready doing this, or some really complitated sentence i cant understand. Im only a young kid. UHM.. WUT?
For what exactly? What vocal tracks are you talking about? We currently don't support mic btw. And we have already discussed about how to implement mic support a bit.
I know you said you're just a kid, but I don't exactly see your logic in this statement.
I am actually glad you brought this little piece up. That would be a good idea, sorta like what happens in the Rock Band games, right? I've been waiting for someone to suggest this.

It needs to determine what notes you're hitting to use it in the rockband style. Singing along like karaoke isn't something I'd like mto see implemented. This involved some VERY complicated audio-midi tracking and I promise will be very difficult to implement.

Well all I am really saying is to put mic support in. Not support for playing vocal parts in a song, but just mic support. And we could pretend to sing when we're playing the game.
Bottom Line: We put in mic support so we can hear ourselves while we play in the game. We have this until we an really play vocal tracks.

Maybe. Depends on your sound card.

plug the mic in, crank up mic playback volume, however you stand chance of some wicked feedback. However I think I know what he's saying and until we figure out exactly how the RB microphone works (RB mics work with GH:WT, but the singstar mics dont, singstar are analog even with the USB adapter [tested them on my PC]) So I think the RB Microphones do a conversion to MIDI in which case would make it MUCH easier to implement in the game.
And as for turning the volume down, I crank it not only for the fullness of sound, but also so I dont have to listen to my pretend-y instruments and/or vocals. Turning down music for me is like peeing in the mouth of god. It's simply a no-go.

I was under the impression that the RB mic was just an ordinary USB mic. Or, at least, RB can handle normal mics (the manual said so).
Also, for what it's worth, my friend plugged his Xbox360 headset into his 360 controller, and RB recognized that as valid mic input also.

maybe EOF for FoF will work with making vocals bcuz it has a section called "VOCAL TRACK" after you make da game support mics. ?

no, it'll do the same thing feedback does. the vocal track's mostly there just to put the words in the song. no actual notes.

well if it makes words in the song you could work on that and build a part to where you separate the lyrics from the song and import in into EOF and set notes for each note on the scale... ...after you make mics supported Note: my xplorer crashes my pc when its plugged in. Help???
