@ noamattd Here's a .rar with beta 3 and updates 1 and 2, if you still want/need it www.mediafire.com/?c2lm3n0nfzd@ callisto Very nice on the chart support... it's nice not having to convert everything every time I change something. Just one more thing though -- the offset in the chart header is in seconds, not milliseconds, but that should be a really easy fix I imagine

I'm trying to use a .chart that worked before Update 1, but for some reason it won't load. It still loads fine in Feedback, so I don't think its a problem with the .chart file itself. Right when I load the song, playing on Expert, it does this: Link to download song/chart: www.mediafire.com/?7tbumtrfzn9

I'm getting that "ERR_MEMORY" always in one specific song in the setlist. It looks like that there's some kind of problem with the song preview and the guitar.ogg file. I can upload it, if you want to solve the problem, callisto?

fudeYes, please! I'd be most grateful for a song that allows me to reproduce the problem. Also, could you please do a quick check to see whether the error also occurs if you remove all other songs from the setlist? Thanks a lot!

Yeah, i get the same error with this song although it is on a clean setlist. Here you go: rapidshare.com/files/93639755/Prison_Song.zip.htmlYou're welcome. EDIT: Forgot to say that there's some weird .sfk and .sfl file, but if i delete them, the error still occurs, so i left them in because they were in the original package. And if you wonder why i have managed to play this song (the score.xml) its because if i'm fast enough to scroll and press enter before the preview would start, i can get to play it

I can upload it, if you want to solve the problem, callisto? I used to get an error when the setlist tried to preview Farewell Myth from the GH1 song package. Not sure if it was the same error message, but it consistently crashed on that song. I opened and re-exported song and guitar to ogg and it stopped crashing. Before I re-exported though, I know that I could play the song ok because it once selected that song on random play and it didn't crash. Dunno if this is useful info to anyone, but I figured I'd throw it out there.

I noticed something kind of interesting about the .chart support.
You get a Null Value error loading a .chart song if the MusicStream = "filename.ogg" line from the .chart is missing (its normally in the Song section of the file). Unfortunately, it seems some of the .charts you'll find places like ScoreHero have the line missing.
If you have the MusicStream line there, but the .ogg part is leading to a nonexistant file, it'll apparently just use the regular song.ogg and guitar.ogg anyways (assuming the song.ogg and guitar.ogg are there).
Easy enough to add the line by hand and fix the error, but I wonder if it'd be possible to just make that line optional and if its missing, just default to the normal song.ogg/guitar.ogg setup...

Hi, first of all, thanks for the new beta!
i got 3 little bugs in the game: - when you chose a song in the setlist and wanna play it, the setlist betgins to slide out, that effekt takes about 1 minute - the first notes have graphical errors, sometimes they are not displayed, if it are ling notes, the track behind it is shown, but not the note, or the note is only half displayed - some songs end before they really end. this happens for example at Jessica from GH2, i was loading from a Guitar Zero file. in the beta 2 i could play it complete.
Hope that helps....

hybrid666I'd attribute the first two bugs with problems regarding your graphics card. Someone suggested that putting VSync to "Application defined" in your graphics card options (note: NOT in GZ's config.xml but really in the properties given by your graphics card driver) can solve the first problem. The 2nd problem has been fixed in Beta 4 Update 1. Regarding the third problem: Upload a song that ends prematurely, please.

dreakonThanks, will be fixed in the next release. @cesarjacobo What do you actually mean by "multiplayer lagging"? Can someone else confirm that effect and shed some more light on it?

every couple of times i play a song, the background music keeps on playing...kind of annoying
also, hos/pos don't work after a held note - they either need to work or not be labeled as a ho/po held note being ones that you can whammy

@callisto
when ever i play by myself, the game is smooth like butter, but like i said, in multiplayer the game goes on smooth untill both players have sustained notes.... when both players hit the sustained note, the notes lag a little behind the song but catches up when single notes appear . so i dont know if this could be my graffics card like for gh3 ?

Dunno if these have been mentioned yet, because I don't feel like checking the thread. I just noticed while playing, since I just got my normal computer working again, so this is the first time I can really try beta 4. - Lets say I don't open GZ for 5-10 minutes. I open it. I go to the song list(not my folders, but the first area that theres actual songs). It comes up saying an error has occurred and guitarstar needs to close. Now, once it's closed, if I open the game again RIGHT away, it works perfectly fine. So I dunno. Also, when the error occurs, all the stars on the song list don't show up. I dunno what it is. - I dunno bout this. When you activate star power, ALL the notes spin for a few seconds, then suddenly stop. Um, yeah. You'll have to try it to see

Also another problem - Some songs, when paused, sound "odd" when unpaused. Not ALL songs do this. Like, I'll be playing a song. I pause it. Then I un-pause, and it sounds muffled, or something. Been having this problem for a while, just kept forgetting to report it. It's strange though. Cuz each time I pause it, it changes sound. I can fix it by pausing, press down up start, then unpausing. Sounds odd but the fix works. I dunno whats up. o.O And as far as I can tell, it only does it with Custom songs(not all, as I said.)

It can happen during regular gameplay also. One particular example I recall is the Goliath chart of Through The Fire And Flames, as posted by Cool a while back.
I changed the miss volume in the config xml from 0 to 10 and I think that stopped it from "muffling", so maybe it has something to do with silencing and then un-silencing the track/channel? (I haven't extensively tested this yet to see if I could get it to "muffle" again during gameplay, so this is just a speculation).

i think what causes that is the two different tracks playing getting "off" by a couple milliseconds, and that causes the electronicy weird sound - and it doesnt happen w/ the GH tracks b/c they only have guitar and only have allt he rest of the instruments, so when they are off by a little time it isnt noticable

A option that change the text_"".png to another file in diferent folder:
Option to change the language
something like create folders... GZ Beta 4\Resources\textures\languages\Spanish GZ Beta 4\Resources\textures\languages\English GZ Beta 4\Resources\textures\languages\German
and inside the folder include the files... Text_Difficulty.png Text_InputPlayerSelection.png Text_Main.png Text_MultiplayerMode.png Text_Options.png Text_Pause.png Text_Speed.png SpeedMenuBackground.png SongSectionMenuBackground.png
and all the another text files...
