(Moved from the beta 6 bug report thread)
I was previewing the face-off sections for a song and when the song ended, the crowd sounds were still playing. They continued into the setlist menu and even the next song.
The instrument track OGG doesn't go silent on a miss until you have strummed at least once. This seems to be related to how many .OGGs the song uses (I wouldn't know why), but for all the Guitar Hero game songs I tried (which all use at least song and guitar OGGs), this occurred. For the charts I tried, only the ones that used more than just song.ogg had this problem. I don't know if this is just coincidence, but I'm throwing it out there anyway.
Also, and I don't know if it's at all in your control, I was getting the audio system failure issue at every other song when I played at a high resolution (1440x900) in Fullscreen mode. I changed back to 1024x768 (where I usually have it for fullscreen) and the problem went away. I had my resolution up because I was playing windowed mode last night and didn't change the resolution back. I wonder if maybe this is why some people are getting lots of audio system errors? [edit] Actually, I found a zip file in the background ogg folder this morning, which was probably the real culprit. Just an amazing coincidence that I stopped getting the error after changing the resolution.
