ok, here are a few issues i have to bring forth:
1. for some reason, Update 3 seems to pentalize me at random times even though i have hit a note accurately
2. cant stand the difficulty.. its just too darn hard now. i used to be able to play every song on Hard but with the "less forgiving" rock meter i cant even manage half of them anymore.
3. please take the HOPO counting system back to the way it was, i am notiing that i am being pentalized for strumming HOPOs, and that something i cant help. i just do it and it was fine before.
no offense to callisto or Beta 6, but i have been sticking with Beta 5 Update 2 becuase of the reasons above.

lol it was exactly the same b4 only it was kinda suck-ish. well nvrmind it's a matter of personal opinion i guess. but i don't think we should revert back a step just because some one can't pass hard. no offense, the rock meter does get a slight bit annoying sometimes on games like gh2, because in the real gh2 the meter is twice as easy. but idc i'll just practice. the rick meter is fine the way it is.
it's never done that to me, is it just whenever or is it when you're strumming fast/not at all? cuz if it's the first, it might be your controller if you use one.

heres a request i want sp usage to be more like gh in the fact that when activated in gh missing a note only brings you down around half as much as normal but in guitar star it brings you down the same amount... actually if i had to guess i would say star power makes the rock meter values switch so that missing a note brings you down a 3rd as much as hitting one

same here but i was playing paradise city today and failed in star power because i missed one note ( i was in the red activated it and missed a note ) and i was like WTF that shouldnt have happened then i redid it and saw that it goes down as fast in sp as it does in normal then i played gh3 and gh3 doesnt do that

A beat guideline for eighth notes instead of only every beat. Possibly EighthBeatGuideline.png.
That would be awesome if this made it into a future update.
I'm pretty sure they had an eighth note line in GH1 and GH2 but I know for sure it's in Rock Band and GH3.

eight beat line is in every guitar hero and rock band. it would be very nice to have in gz2 also, i can't help but bring up that "delete songs within game" idea that was brought up awhile back

I remember in GH3 being able to almost die, activate starpower and keep going, instead in GZ I activate it and die immediately. It does help you by making every note mean more, however I think it hurts you the same as if you don't have SP. I hope this gets changed in the next few releases, cuz I'm really not that good and I need my SP!

@callisto: how hard would it be to be able to use more sounds for misses (miss7, miss8, miss9, etc....) ?? or is this just stupid??...lol thanks

This is a big request, but considering how things are moving in the music game world, not too unreasonable I think.
I'd like to see more integrated drum support - 3 players is a must, but also a feature that takes into account the controller. When GH4 comes out, we'll have a 5-pad drum in addition to RB's 4-pad one. GH4 is handling this by detecting the controller and changing the chart from 5 gems to 4 when the RB drums are plugged in.
Starting out small would be fine - just eliminate one drum track and that's that. Eventually it could be expanded upon to keep the notes in somehow - put them on a random track, add them to the last note played, add them to the track immediately to the right of the last note, etc.
I don't really care about all the fancy stage stuff - I'd like to see GZ's capabilities expand more before the stage layer becomes the main focus.

I'd like to see a stage triggered by midi commands before drum support is added

Just so my $.02 is here...I'd prefer drums first.
[EDIT] Removed requests to make seperate threads
Oh, and I'd like to reiterate the request to move the meters around ingame, along with using some sort of gif, avi, or mpng to create animated menu's....I'd really like to make a Matrix mod but won't be any good without animations.

Might as well cast my vote, which is for the originally planned features like 3D stages. Drums would be cool, but they can wait. Odds are if you have a Rock Band drum kit that you have Rock Band. I can't see someone buying a set for 80 bucks just to play songs on something like Unsigned.

Fair enough, but I plan to make my own drum kit out of a real one and a USB controller hack....more on that later!

canped - Yeah, I'm going to mount a transducer onto a real drum set and tie the switch into a USB controller, probably have to make my own silent cymbals. Essentially then I can play with it plugged in into a game, not plugged in just playing, and be able to play with and without practice pads. When I actually start doing it I'll make a tutorial thread in case anybody cares. This could also apply to somebody who wishes to make their own kit out of PVC pipes and practice pads alone. I just happened to have an old drum kit I was willing to mod. </off topic posting>

Make the rock meter more forgiving, this thing is harder then GH3. I can beat Raining Blood on GH3 but when I play it here I lose every time

All this note/HOPO/difficulty/timing/speed stuff once again shows the need for the game settings menu so we can customize all this stuff to our liking and stop whining on the forums about how it's too hard/easy/fast/slow/shiny/smelly/etc
