For those installing Guitar Zero for the first time you can shorten the number of downloads/installs significantly by installing the newest versions of particular frameworks. For instance: Instead of downloading .NET 1.1, the .NET 1.1 Service Pack, .NET 2.0 AND the .NET 2.0 Service Pack, download .NET 3.5, which includes everything that both of those do, plus other upgrades to the .NET framework which may be necessary in the future (I can confirm this is the case, as I work in a .NET environment daily)So for XP users, that brings your downloads down to five: .NET 3.5, DirectX Web Installer (requires Internet connection), XNA Redistributable 1.0 Refresh, XNA Redistributable 2.0, and of course the latest GuitarStar. Install them in that order, test the game to make sure it works, then go ahead and start installing mods.

Someone should sticky this, much more simple and helpful to those who don't know what they're doing when trying to play this.
The XNA 2.0 link is broken. So is the latest Guitar Star
