Would anyone on here like to see Guitar Star ported to the Nintendo Wii Homebrew Channel?
There are some other simulators for StepMania and Mugen being made for the homebrew channel thought this would be a great one to try.

I think Guitar Zero 2 is coded in a format that the Wii wouldn't understand and can't be converted to one it can (though I may be wrong). But if it were possible hell yeah I'd love to see it for the homebrew channel!

I don't think the Wii could run C# code either.

GuitarZero2 also uses Microsoft XNA, which only works on Windows, Xbox 360 and soon Zune. There's no way at all to port that to others systems. You're better off porting Frets on Fire to Wii.

Completely impossible. By far.
Not only does GuitarZero2 use DirectX, but it also uses Microsoft XNA. And not only does it use XNA but it also is written in C# with requires the .NET Framework.
Unless someone is willing to rewrite the entire source code from scratch it won't happen.

It only filters out whole words now, so while fück is still filtered, all the offshoots are not.

Yes, obviously it'd have to be coded almost from the ground up because there are no C# compilers or XNA libraries for Wii, but that doesn't make a Wii homebrew version impossible.

Callisto has to put it up on the 360, and he has to be a member of the XNA Creator's Club, which costs money. I'm sure he will at some point, but remember he won't be able to do customs do to having to follow Microsoft's licensing agreements. So any 100% original tunes or tunes that have been licensed to Guitar Zero would be fine, stuff that belongs to a record company/Guitar Hero or Rock Band game would not.

Well, you might not be able to do Guitar Zero in Wii Homebrew, but there is a program called WiiPy that makes it so you can run things coded in Python, meaning there could be Frets On Fire.

GuitarFun 3.0 does everything you need for Wii homebrew. No need to convert any other games.
