well this is a simple .bat but can be usefull for someone
1. open notepad 2. write this:
start /high GuitarStar.exe
3. Save as Whatever.bat Save as type: All types in your GZ folder (Where GuitarStar.exe is)
Now everytime you open your bat, GZ will run in high priority. You can create a shortcut to your .bat
******************************** Better Performance
How to close explorer.exe then open GZ Beta 6 in high priority and re-open explorer.exe when GZ Beta 6 is closed (Thanks flip.. for the suggestion)
1. open notepad 2. write this:
TASKKILL /IM EXPLORER.EXE /F start /high /wait GuitarStar.exe start explorer.exe
3. Save as Whatever.bat Save as type: All types in your GZ folder (Where GuitarStar.exe is)

Hmm. Pretty cool. People that lag a lot will love this. I should try and do this with other games.

Thanx I think this works a whole lot! Also, instead of having a bunch of different GuitarStar.exe's you can now have bat files that load them and you name all of them something different. I put all the .bat files on my desktop and names them "GHI, GHII, GHIII, Rockband, Gamer Hero, etc."

Does this work for other programs, because I run some CPU intesive MIDI editing software for making charts and it'd be nice to be able to flip between playing and editing without lag.

are you writting it right? maybe you're writting it bad or... are you using win xp, vista? try writting tskill instead og taskkill (anyways, gz 2 beta 6 update 3 starts on "Above normal" priority)

For those with xp Home, write only
tskill explorer
And then the rest.
edit: nevermind, tskill doesn't work because explorer restarts I tried to dload and install pskill but then guitar zero will crash
