Well, dunno about mid->dat, so just use the fof songs with GZ2 (it reads mids and charts)

It's a command line program. You need to open a command prompt or create a .bat file. You can use something like one of these:
Absolute file paths:
midi2gz.exe "c:\Guitar Zero\Songs\A Song\notes.mid" "c:\Guitar Zero\Songs\A Song\song.dat" Or Relative file paths:
midi2gz.exe "Songs\A Song\notes.mid" "Songs\A Song\song.dat"
If the .dat file has problems, then open the midi in a program called Anvil Studio, export to a midi format 0 file, and refer to that file instead.

I thought there was a C++ one written a while ago, but I can't seem to find it, so I'll see about making a quick and dirty one sometime today. [edit - 20 May 2009] Dat2Chart Thread
