Everybody please welcome Frontman - Beta 6 Update 3! Everybody who had the game prior to the C&D removal, there is no new features, just new art, new name, and a single download (no updates needed).

Game Download Only

Full Installer

Remember that there are pre-requisites to the game, the best tutorial written about starting up the game is on the wiki by CJB100 here.

If after reading through that and you're still having troubles, then please post in the Help Forum

The server on our homesite gave me full speed, nice!
The default name of the player in config.xml could be "Player", not "KamikaziGrandpa" ^^

there's no more starpower?
oh and i noticed that solos now have starpower notes, but they disappear if you miss. Haven't got 100% solo though.

Activision gave GZ a cease and desist, then changed their mind and let us keep GZ as long as we change the name and graphics. So now GZ is called frontman.
You should search first though, though i don't mind giving info to noobs/ppl who havn't been here recently.

No, I think we might be moving towards that though. Drums will end up coming out before microphone does though. I think it's gonna be drums, 3d stages, maybe a few ideas we (the mods) had a while ago, and then mic. So don't expect it for quite a long time. I suspect callisto will want to add an idea and then iron out the bugs. drums and 3d stage will take a really long time.

although this is the wrong spot to be asking for help. i'd suggest you just copy over your old .xml if that already contains the button info. might work, haha

The next time I hear something bad about Callisto I'm going to issue a 2-3 day ban. I'm sick of people dissing the creator of this game just cause he hasn't logged in for a month. well dammit, i just had a good message typed and clicked Post, copied it first in case of errors, sure enough got an error, and while waiting for the page to load (very slowly) i accidently copied a new message to the clipboard during an xfire convorsation! so now its lost..

o well... rant over. anyway, thanks guys for letting me explain to u what i meant by that "little harsh (CJB)" statement. ya he created the game GuitarStar (which is like Frontman's ..eh..Engine!), but WE took all the steps making it INTO Frontman. but anyway..

I just downloaded Frontman (2 versions, zip and installer) and everything is going fine but... when i choose a song to play i get this message:

Error while loading song: the graphics card does not support mipmap textures. Specify 1 for the number of levels.
Nombre del par melro, numberl evels

and i just can press Back ... does anyone know what can i do ? i installed all the software requirements, i played Gstar with no problems but im getting this error now...

Open your congfig.xml file in notepad, and find the tag that looks kind of like this:

Code:
<MipMapping>true</MipMapping>


and set it to false. That should work; if it doesn't, try getting the rb2 mod from the wiki and using it.

I was playing and only noticed on thing that bugged me, the tails on Star Notes don't turn bluish-greenish color when you whammy like in GH.
